Make internet marketing work for you

I came across the stats below when reading an entry on http://www.followupsuccess.com/

2% of sales are made on the first contact
3% of sales are made on the second contact
5% of sales are made on the third contact
10% of sales are made on the fourth contact
80% of sales are made on the fifth to twelfth contact

Sends a clear message and I know that I used to be guilty of only following up once or twice. Now, I use systems built into the same Web Solution I offer my clients to increase the number of contact "touches". We send out emails that roll out to a specific schedule with the intent of enhancing the initial meeting or conversation we had. In the emails we provide additional information and the goal is to educate the recipient on the process that would benefit them (of course we can provide everything they need to execute that process).
